History

I am Dr. Stephen A. Renae, M. D., FACP, Infection Disease Specialist.
I have been practicing in F. L. since 1993 and in November 2010 I. M. was founded after many rewarding years of group work. It’s a dream that has come true.

I would define I. M. as an independent medical practice for the treatment of infectious diseases as well as infection control, antibiotic infusion, clinical research and patient advocacy attending to patients in both hospital and outpatient settings.
Here we treat a variety of infections but have a particular interest in HIV, hepatitis B and C, prosthetic joint infections and urinary tract infections.

Its main strength is simple sophistication, employing the latest technologies to create a customer-focused experience that is medically state-of-the-art treating patients holistically, understanding that we are a combination of mind, body, emotion and spirit.

Serving patients in different ways meeting their challenges either by making a diagnosis, shepherding them through the current complex medical system or simply being a listening ear when they are dealing with a struggle in life has always been our aim.

Everyone gets individualized attention and all the time they need with the doctor as we are continually striving to make the patient experience exemplary from the time they first contact us until their time with us is through.

I’ve always wished to assure the patient care aspect of medicine. Working closely with physicians and surgeons of all specialties provides patient team-centered approach to best diagnose their condition and treat their problems.
